Cut out the side skins from 1/16" sheet and apply them, The drawings on the plan are deliberately oversize, to allow for trimming.
A frame is made to be tightly fitting over the rudder compartment... You don't need to glue the rudder and servo in yet - this can be done later. But it is a good idea to lay an extension lead under the sub-deck at this point.
The strips of balsa can be superglued to the celuloid...
The rudder uses a cheap miniature servo, and is mounted on a couple of wood blocks. I make up my own rudders and prop-shafts, but if you want to buy them the dimensions are specified here...
If there is a bit of a gap, filler can be your friend...
...and the rear deck skin is trimmed to fit...

Use an extension lead rather than a long servo lead. That way, if a servo fails, it is easily replaced later. Don't ask me how I know...
The rear deck is removable to access the rudder. This picture shows the stern cross-strut which supports the back of the passenger deck wall (and which should be put in before the top decking!). Clingfilm is over it in preparation for making the removable frame...
When made up, the rudder unit looks like this, and just glues into the stern compartment. Note that the servo lead goes through the deck and under the floor to the motor compartment, or, indeed, to the WC compartment at the bow if that is where you have put your receiver...
... and the edges are then beveled to fit.
The top deck can now go on. Note that the triangular decking at the bow is bent a little over the bow hook to provide camber.
I modified the stem somewhat by adding a lollipop stick to give it some strength. Not essential, but it does make the stem more scale-like. The main plan shows this option..
And this is what it looks like when added. The side skins attach to the balsa strips, leaving the harder birch stick proud to take any knocks.
The only glazing on the boat is the forward windscreen. I made this by cutting out a piece of celuloid and sandwiching it between 1/16" balsa strips as shown. The dimensions are on the plan.
